Religious Education

As a school in the Archdiocese of Birmingham, we follow the RE curriculum "Learning and Growing as People of God". We follow a 2-year rolling programme of curriculum due to knowledge and understanding of the four key strands:

  • Scripture
  • The Liturgical Year
  • The Sacraments
  • Living as Christians.

The curriculum is taught by combining many different subject areas including art, drama, music, writing and ICT. This allows children to develop their independent skills in these areas whilst enjoying a rich and varied RE curriculum.

We also give the children opportunities to study different cultures and faiths including Buddhism, Judaism and Islam, making connections to their own faith and beliefs.
