Reading Books

In Reception, children should read at home every day for at least 5 minutes to build their fluency and confidence.

We will send home a Read, Write, Inc. phonics book and a story book to read each week. These are linked to the sounds the children are learning in phonics lessons. We encourage rereading books to build fluency so please reread your books as many times as you can before they are changed. Phonics books are changed once a week, usually on a Friday.

Water bottles

Please send your child in with a full water bottle every day.

PE

PE is on a Friday. Please ensure children come to school in their PE kits on these days.

Forest School

Forest School is on a Wednesday morning.  As the weather gets colder and wetter children will require wellies, which will be kept in school. Children are required to have a waterproof coat and in the winter months, a hat, scarf and gloves that they don't mind getting muddy.
